Kids’ Read Aloud at Tablespoons Bakery

Our goal for story time is to provide a fun, inclusive story time setting where children are safe to learn, explore, ask questions, and engage with the disability community. Each story time, we will read a book that features a character with a disability or teaches about an inclusive topic. A licensed special educator will then lead a children-centered discussion about the book. Kids will then get a chance to complete an activity or craft related to the book. After our group activities wrap up, we encourage you to take your child to our sales counter and let them order from our staff. You’re welcome to stay and hang out in our bakery space or outdoor patio area, both of which are equipped with toy kitchens.
