Senior Circle is a partnership between Friendship Circle of Virginia and Jewish Family Services.

We are looking for volunteers (ages 18+) to make weekly social visits with older or homebound adults in their homes. These dedicated volunteers provide friendship and companionship to individuals seeking meaningful connections. Whether sharing stories, listening and reminiscing, playing games, taking walks, or simply enjoying each other's company, volunteers make a lasting impact.

In addition to weekly visits, we also host quarterly senior events in partnership with Congregation Or Atid through their Senior Schmoose & Nosh Mo’adon program. These gatherings bring seniors together for holiday celebrations, hands-on activities, and meaningful social connection — offering both new and familiar faces the opportunity to build friendships and feel part of a vibrant community.

Ideal time commitment: 1 hour per week for 12 months. Apply below!
