Dr. Sarah Kranz-Ciment, PT, DPT
Founder & Executive Director of Friendship Circle of Virginia

Sarah is a pediatric physical therapist, social advocate, and Executive Director of both Friendship Circle of Virginia and New Patterns ABA. With over 15 years of experience, she has led national and international disability inclusion efforts, including the Chabad Inclusion Initiative, supporting 4,500+ centers worldwide, and the Jewish Orthodox Feminist Alliance (JOFA), which promotes gender equity and inclusive participation in Jewish life. Sarah holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, a Master’s in Jewish Nonprofit Leadership, and serves on the Disability Committee of Jewish Federations of North America. A proud mom of five, she is committed to creating inclusive communities where every person feels they belong and are meaningfully connected.

Tanya Buresh-Werby
Assistant Director of Friendship Circle of Virginia

In her 5 years as Director of Marketing and Office Operations at the Friendship Circle of San Diego, Tanya (she/her) contributed to the organization’s growth and success via her involvement in event management and numerous other functions. In her prior roles with state government organizations and within the private sector, Tanya honed her operations, project management, personnel management, and administrative skills.

Alana Miller
Director of Engagement

Alana (she/her) a dedicated advocate and founder of Say Hello Threads, brings a wealth of experience in therapeutic foster care to her work. With a passion for supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, Alana’s journey was inspired by her own son’s experiences. Her commitment to fostering inclusivity and raising awareness within the disabilities community drives her efforts, making her a compassionate and impactful figure in the field.

Suzanne Allen
Program Coordinator

Suzanne is a VCU graduate with a BFA in Painting and Printmaking. As an artist, she is excited to bring her creativity and passion for event planning to all Friendship Circle programs and events. She has always been a firm believer that a few solid friendships can change a person’s entire world. Suzanne is also a devoted mom to one human and three canines.

Missy Bunce
Inclusive Teen Leadership Board Director

Missy was born and raised in Richmond and has dedicated both her personal and professional life to helping others. She is a LCSW currently working with children and teens in an inpatient psychiatric facility. Prior to her return to the mental health field, she spent over 13 years running the Inclusion and Support department at the Weinstein JCC. She has seen the power of inclusion and advocacy and is committed to creating a more kind and compassionate world. Missy is married and has 2 amazing children.
