SUMMARY:Sportable Event- NWBA Adult Wheelchair Basketball National Championships
DESCRIPTION:National Wheelchair Basketball Association\, Sportable\, Richmond Region Tourism\, and Henrico Sports & Entertainment Authority are proud to host the 2025 Adult and Junior Division Wheelchair Basketball National Tournaments. To be held over the first two weekends in April 2025\, the Championships will take place at the state-of-the-art Henrico Sports & Events Center in Henrico\, Virginia. \nThe top 16 ranked wheelchair basketball teams for each Adult Division (I\, II\, III) will earn an invitation to their respective divisions’ national tournament. \nThe top 32 ranked teams for Varsity level and the top 16 ranked teams from Prep level will earn an invitation to participate in the NWBA Junior Wheelchair Basketball National Championships. \nIn total\, 100 teams and over 1\,100 wheelchair basketball players will compete for a coveted national title during the two events \nNWBA Junior Wheelchair Basketball National Championships – April 4-6\, 2025 \nNWBA Adult Wheelchair Basketball National Championships – April 11-13\, 2025

SUMMARY:ASCV Event: Discovery Club Trip to Washington D.C.
DESCRIPTION:ASCV’s Discovery Club for Homeschool Students is headed to D.C.! Join us a for a field trip to the National Zoo and the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. \n\n\nWe will travel by carpool with parents by leaving from the ASCV parking lot at 8am\, driving to the Springfield Metro station\, arriving at approximately 10am\, then taking the Metro to the National Zoo at 11:00.\nThose who want to go to the Museum of Natural Histroy after the zoo will leave the Zoo at 1:30 and arrive at the Museum of Natural History at 2:30.\nThe group will stay at the museum until it closes at 5pm. then take the Metro back to the Springfield station.\n\nAdmission to the zoo and museum are free\, the metro card will be approximately $17 per person\, parking at the Metro will be $8 per vehicle. \nFamilies can apply for a transportation scholarship. Those that agree to drive can apply for a transportation scholarship and ASCV will reimburse with a physical gas card. \nPlease register EACH person who will be attending\, including caregivers.
