DESCRIPTION:For more than 18 years\, Sportable has been providing opportunities to people of all ages with physical disabilities and visual impairments to participate in sports. From cycling and tennis to wheelchair basketball and rugby\, our athletes have participated in a range of activities.  \nThe Sportable Athlete Tailgate and hosted by the Associate Board will kick off Tailgate Season with pizza and RVA craft beer on Thursday\, September 21\, while dozens of Sportable families\, donors\, and supporters plan to host personalized parties through September 30 with a goal to fundraise $100\,000. \nIf you can’t host an event this year\, please consider supporting someone else’s Tailgate Fundraiser!

DESCRIPTION:Teen and Parent Orientation\nTuesday\, Sept 24\, 5:30 – 7\nFC office\nAll returning and new Friendship Circle Teen Friends and a parent are expected to attend an orientation seminar before beginning to volunteer with Friendship Circle. \nOrientation gives teens and their parents the opportunity to learn more about what to expect from volunteering at Friendship Circle programs. This interactive seminar will help prepare and train Teens allowing both themselves\, and in turn their match\, to gain the most from each program. Teens will also hear from various members of the disability community. \nRegister here.
