PEATC Event- Friendship Building Strategies

Participants will explore the nature of their friendships and consider students with disabilities developing positive relationships with other students. The presentation will also describe the importance of creating opportunities for these students to belong to their school and their community to gain a sense of acceptance. Attendees will be provided strategies for parents as well as educators to use in facilitating friendships for all children, especially children with disabilities.
